Just a little piece of my new guitar. I went down to Long and McQuaid, a local music joint to check out their deals. They didn't have much in the way of what I was originally looking for (scrapped the Raptor idea, and instead went looking for a Stratocaster). Well, they only had used Strats for under a grand, so I browsed around instead.
And then I found this. A matte black Ibanez, fits me like a... well. Yeah, it's just really comfortable to play. I picked up a practice amp for it too. The look on my neighbors' faces when I walked into my house with amp and guitar in tow was sheer terror.
I will try my hardest not to disappoint them.

Awesome, that looks pretty bad ass. Let me know how it turns out I’ve been looking for new guitar; Ibanez was one of my choices. My Washburn is getting kind of warn.
So have you been playing long? Or just starting? In any sense these two sites will become your friend :) especially since you’re a Matt Good fan

On a side note give Alert Status Red a try, possibly the simplest Matt Good song out there you just have to mess with the tunning abit to get the chorus to work.
I'm just starting out for the first time, although when I picked up that guitar at the shop, it felt like I had been playing it for years already. I guess it just felt that natural.
For now, I'm just practicing the basics. I'll be picking up on the songs once I'm confident, and once my fingers get enough strength to stop dropping the pick in the middle of a riff.
Ibanez! whoo!
I'm not going to do what I did when I learned to play piano, all those years ago. It was assumed that playing a piano meant you wanted a Royal Conservatory grade, and therefore, only learned to play classical and baroque. Never has an instrument been more bastardized and subjected to the status quo than the humble piano.
I promise that my guitar will be my outlet, and only mine. Not some humbugger who tells me what rock "should" be like.

haha..I agree. Also, the violin.
Often times I find myself wishing I'd never quit playing the flute. I quit shortly after moving up there, I didn't like the teacher my parents found (bless them for finding me one though), and I couldn't stand her office. It was in one of the buildings on the U of A campus. A very, very, very confusing building. Kind of like CU's Muenzinger only WORSE. This means nothing to any of you, but trust me.
ANYWAY. I'm with Ryan; Unless you really start to dislike it, don't quit. Or quit, but don't be afraid to pick it back up again when you start to miss it.
